About The Youth Minister

Hello! My name is Robert Corwin! I currently work here at St. Andrew the Apostle as the Director of Youth and Young Adult Evangelization and the Director of Parish Communications. I am also an Adjunct Professor of Theology at Benedictine University- Mesa. I have a Master of Arts in Biblical Theology from John Paul the Great Catholic University and I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education- English from Arizona State (GO DEVILS). While at ASU, I became a Founding Father of my fraternity- Pi Kappa Phi, and served two terms as the Chaplain and one as the President. After graduating, I substitute taught in the Tempe Union High School District. I spent two years teaching Freshman and Sophomore English at Corona del Sol. I attended Mountain Pointe and graduated in 2005. While at Corona, I coached Badminton and Freshman Girl’s Basketball my first year and was the head Cheer coach. I also sponsored the Junior Class Council and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes club on campus.

On June 14, 2012 I married the most beautiful woman in the world. My wife’s name is Abby Catherine and she is a first grade teacher in Mesa. She is absolutely amazing and such an incredible example of the love and kindness that Christ modeled for us. On March 7, 2014, God blessed Abby and I with our first child! Luke Robert Corwin was born into an incredibly loving family and has brightened all of our lives. Abby, Luke and I are currently anticipating our second little boy to be born in late October! My parents are Bob and Tracy and went to Seton Catholic High School. They have been in love since their sophomore year in high school and were married at 19. I have two brothers- Daniel and James, one sister- Elizabeth, and four sisters-in-law- Bethy, Rachel, Sarah, and Bekah. I also have one nephew, Jameson, who was born this past May to my brother James and his fiancé Madison. You will see the whole gang around St. Andrew’s at Mass and helping out in different areas. I grew up Catholic and attended St. Andrew's and St. Tim's. I was active in the St. Andrew's youth ministry through high school and lead multiple retreats, including being the Rector of Kairos my senior year.

I have been the Director of Youth and Young Adult Evangelization here at St. Andrew the Apostle for four years now and I am looking forward to what God has in store for this upcoming year as I begin teaching at Benedictine and expand our Young Adult Ministry. I am excited to meet many of you and to see so many back again! Please pray for our ministry here and, of course, for my family and I!!!
